Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att undersöka effekterna av akupunktur och akupressur sett ur ett patientperspektiv samt även ge exempel inom några områden där akupunktur och akupressur visat ge effekt eller ingen effekt. Metoden för studien är en litteraturstudie. Resultatet visade att akupunktur och akupressur ger positiv effekt på många områden, till exempel att farmakologisk behandling tillsammans med akupunktur var effektivare än endast farmakologisk behandling. Den visade också att akupunktur inte gav någon effekt på allergisk rhinit / The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of acupuncture and acupressure from a patient´s perspective and give some examples from a few areas where acupuncture and acupressure has or has not given effects. The method consists of a literature review. The results indicate that acupuncture and acupressure gave positive effect in many areas, for example it showed that pharmacologisk treatment together with acupuncture was more effective than just pharmacologisk treatment itself. It also showed that acupuncture did not give any effect on allergic rhinitis
