Previous issue date: 2013-12-17 / In this dissertation, we analyze the constitution and functioning of the humorous discourse in discursive genre cartoon from the recognition and analysis of the techniques of humor used to get the desired effects of meaning. We used the theoretical and methodological assumptions of French Discourse Analysis henceforth (AD) for the research. Specifically on the techniques of humor, we rely on authors like Possenti (1998) and Propp (1992) to see how these procedures are present in the cartoons and make the discourse of humor. To achieve this goal, ten (10) cartoons were analyzed dealing with episodes relating to the management of the mayor Micarla de Souza in the city of Natal, RN. These cartoons were published in the newspaper Tribuna do Norte during the year 2012. The research falls within the field of study of Applied Linguistics and is qualitative, interpretive nature. In the first part, we did a rescue of the foundations of discourse analysis, discussing the concept of interdiscourse, then we carry on about the notion of gender discourse from the perspective of AD, and the genre itself cartoon as we work with the cartoon as a discourse genre, and finally, we deal with this humor discourse in cartoons. We then developed some analyzes to illustrate the postulate that all text is founded upon certain conditions of enunciation; that the relationship between the cartoons and interdiscourse is a constitutive relationship that brings out certain cartoons/ discourses and not others, and especially what humor techniques are used strategically by the cartoonist, whose discursive decisions cause certain effects of meaning. The results of this paper find that discursive relations are relations of subjects and meanings, that the discourse of cartoon is built from other sayings and discourses, and that certain textual and discursive procedures/techniques, as parody, irony, lowering the other, the ambiguity and displacement are mobilized in the text to generate the possible effect of the comic, thus building the humor discourse of the cartoons analyzed / Nesta disserta??o, ocupamo-nos em analisar a constitui??o e o funcionamento do discurso humor?stico no g?nero discursivo charge a partir do reconhecimento e an?lise das t?cnicas de humor utilizadas para se chegar aos efeitos de sentido pretendidos. Para tanto, utilizamos os pressupostos te?rico-metodol?gicos da An?lise do Discurso Francesa, doravante (AD), para a realiza??o da pesquisa. Especificamente sobre as t?cnicas de humor, apoiamo-nos em autores como Possenti (1998, 2010) e Propp (1992) para ver como esses procedimentos est?o presentes nas charges e formam o discurso do humor. Com base nesse objetivo, 10 (dez) charges, que tratam de epis?dios referentes ? gest?o da prefeita Micarla de Souza na cidade do Natal-RN, publicadas no jornal Tribuna do Norte, durante o ano de 2012, foram analisadas. A pesquisa se inscreve na ?rea de estudos da Lingu?stica Aplicada e ? qualitativa, de natureza interpretativa. Na primeira parte do trabalho, fizemos um resgate das fundamenta??es da An?lise do Discurso, discutindo o conceito de interdiscurso; em seguida, discorremos sobre a no??o de g?nero do discurso na perspectiva da AD, e sobre o pr?prio g?nero charge, uma vez que trabalhamos com a charge como sendo um g?nero discursivo; por ?ltimo, tratamos do discurso humor?stico presentes nas charges. Posteriormente, desenvolvemos as an?lises, procurando ilustrar o postulado de que todo texto se constitui a partir de determinadas condi??es de enuncia??o; que a rela??o existente entre as charges e o interdiscurso ? uma rela??o constitutiva, que faz emergir determinadas charges/discursos e n?o outros e, principalmente, que t?cnicas de humor s?o utilizadas estrategicamente pelo chargista orientando o discurso para poss?veis efeitos de sentido. Os resultados desta disserta??o constatam que as rela??es discursivas s?o rela??es de sujeitos e de sentidos, que o discurso charg?stico ? constru?do a partir de dizeres e discursos outros, e que determinados procedimentos/t?cnicas textuais e discursivas, como a par?dia, a ironia, o rebaixamento do outro, a ambiguidade e o deslocamento s?o mobilizados no texto para gerar o poss?vel efeito da comicidade, construindo assim o discurso humor?stico das charges analisadas
