Previous issue date: 2013-07-08 / Nenhuma / Este trabalho objetiva avaliar os elementos internos e externos que podem comprometer a eficiência das filiais de uma cooperativa de agronegócio localizada na região sul do país, e, para tanto, estabelece critérios e modelos que permitem distinguir operações eficientes de operações ineficientes. O estudo contextualiza-se no histórico do cooperativismo, assim como na representatividade do atual panorama econômico brasileiro e do setor de agronegócio. Considerando o objetivo deste estudo, após efetuar as análises estatísticas de correlação, utiliza a metodologia da Análise Envoltória de Dados (DEA), de forma a gerar os escores e identificar as filiais eficientes decorrentes de seus elementos internos. Por conseguinte, foram utilizadas as variáveis externas juntamente com os escores resultantes da DEA, para avaliar os impactos destes elementos externos na eficiência das filiais da cooperativa, utilizando a análise de regressão. A partir deste estudo, pode-se avaliar que a variável externa que tem maior impacto na eficiência das filiais da cooperativa em relação aos escores apresentados é o Produto Interno Bruto municipal, seguida pelo Valor Adicionado Bruto do Segmento Agropecuário e a População Rural, os quais se mostraram significantes, conforme resultados apresentados na análise. Outrossim, as variáveis internas (inputs e outputs) mais contributivas para descrever a fronteira da eficiência (44,4% das unidades) são Potencial de Faturamento, Colaboradores e Número de Associados. / This study evaluates the internal and external elements that may compromise the efficiency of the branches of a cooperative agribusiness located in the southern region of Brazil, and, therefore, establish criteria and models that distinguish efficient operations from inefficient operations. The study is contextualized on the history of cooperatives, as well as their representation within the current economic outlook and the Brazilian agribusiness. Given the objective of this study, after performing statistical analyzes of correlation, we used the methodology of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to generate the scores and identify efficient units arising from its internal elements. Therefore, we used the external variables with the scores resulting from the DEA to evaluate the impact of these external factors on predicting the internal efficiency of the cooperative units, using regression analysis. The study revealed that the external variable that has the greatest impact on the efficiency of the units of the relation to the scores presented is the municipal Gross Domestic Product, followed by the Gross Value Added of Agriculture and Rural Population Segment, which proved to be significant according to the results presented in the analysis. Likewise, the most descriptive internal variables (inputs and outputs) for representing the efficient frontier (44.4% of the units) are Potential Revenue, Number of Employees and Associates.
