Previous issue date: 2009 / The Lutheranism appears on 16th Century in Germany having as one of its diacritical signals, the emphasis on a plural and democratic education. With the attention on the teaching, especially with its members, it moves across the ocean and follows the German Lutheran immigrants who arrive in Brazil on 19th Century. Due to that, these ones originate schools right beside their temples, which had also the formative and supporting character of the ethno-religious of the social group. Nowadays, at the beginning of 21st Century, the studied Lutheran schools (located in Porto Alegre metropolitan region), related to Igreja Evangélica Luterana do Brasil, show a decline of the values that have guided the first German Lutherans who were the responsible ones to create these values. New literary arrangements appear, in a transculturation, and the confessionality which was beloved, is not the most important feature anymore. It is perceived there was the preference of new features and through these ones, they intend to be recognized and keep identitily connected to the schools that convey the Lutheran code name. This paper inclines to identitary subjects involved in this process from a socio-anthropological approach, in order to understanding the tensions that are settled on this game.
