Previous issue date: 2017-10-27 / Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior (CAPES) / Os fornos solares aproveitam a energia natural do sol e atrav?s dos princ?pios do efeito estufa e da concentra??o possibilitam o assamento de alimentos, se enquadrando em uma fonte de utiliza??o de energia limpa e sustent?vel. Apresenta-se um forno solar tipo caixa cuja as principais caracter?sticas eram seu baixo custo e simples processos de fabrica??o, montagem e operacionalidade. O forno solar alternativo teve suas paredes laterais fabricadas com material comp?sito de matriz de resina poli?ster tereft?lica com res?duo de caulim. No interior do comp?sito foi aplicado um recheio de espuma de poliuretano com a fun??o principal de diminuir o volume de resina utilizada e consequentemente o custo de fabrica??o do forno. A base do forno foi fabricada em madeira, com recheio de poliuretano, com o intuito de reduzir a perda de calor pelo fundo. O forno solar proposto tinha cobertura de vidro plano transparente e acima do recinto de assamento foi colocado um heliostato que fornecia energia adicional para promover o assamento de alimentos. O forno solar estudado tinha capacidade para assar v?rios mantimentos simultaneamente, o que representava uma grande vantagem em rela??o a outros fornos solares mostrados pela literatura. Foram realizados testes para assar alimentos tais como: quibes, queijo coalho, p?es, pizzas, empanados e bolos. Os ensaios demonstraram a viabilidade do forno solar proposto, uma vez que assou todos os alimentos escolhidos, com tempos competitivos com os obtidos por outros fornos j? estudados no LMHES/UFRN. Ressalte-se que a temperatura interna m?dia do absorvedor ficou em torno de 125?C e a temperatura interna do forno em torno de 100?C, sendo capaz de assar at? quatro bolos simultaneamente. Dessa forma, o forno solar estudado pode contribuir para a socializa??o do uso da energia solar por comunidades carentes, podendo at? se constituir em uma fonte de gera??o de emprego e renda. / Solar ovens take advantage of the natural energy of the sun and through the principles of the greenhouse effect and concentration make possible the roasting of food, fit into a source of clean and sustainable energy use. It is presented a box type solar cooker whose main characteristics were its low cost and simple processes of manufacture, assembly and operability. The alternative solar furnace had its side walls made of composite material of terephthalic polyester resin with kaolin residue. In addition to the polymeric composite, a polyurethane foam filling was applied with the main function of reducing the volume of resin used and consequently the cost of manufacturing the furnace. The base of the oven was made of wood, filled with polyurethane, in order to reduce heat loss from the bottom. The proposed solar furnace has transparent glass cover allowing the access of the solar rays to its interior and in addition was coupled to a heliostat providing the necessary heat to promote the food roasting. The studied solar furnace has the capacity to bake several groceries simultaneously, which represents a great advantage over other solar furnaces shown in the literature. Tests were carried out to bake foods such as: kibbe, curd cheese, breads, pizzas, chicken breaded and cakes. The tests demonstrated the viability of the proposed solar furnace, since it roasted all the established food, with times competitive with those obtained by other furnaces already studied in LMHES / UFRN. It should be noted that the average internal temperature of the absorber was around 125 ? C and the internal temperature of the oven around 100 ? C, being able to bake up to four cakes simultaneously. Thus, the studied solar furnace can provoke the socialization of the use of solar energy by needy communities, being able to constitute a source of employment and income generation.
