tersrand, Johannesburg, in ful llment of the requirements for the degree of
Master of Science. Johannesburg, 5 September 2013 / This dissertation aims to conduct a comprehensive and up to date review
of reliability bounds for the binary coherent systems. We assume that the
components work independently of each other. The bounds are compared
numerically by using simple structures.
