The general aim of this study is to attempt to understand the functioning of the professional structure within a teaching hospital, as well as its relationship to the administrative system. More specifically, this study first presents the inter-relationships and the various coordinating mechanisms used by health professionals while exercising their duties with patients. It then goes on to describe the functioning of the administrative system in order to identify its links with the operational core. / L'objectif général de cette étude est de chercher à comprendre le fonctionnement de la structure professionnelle clinique d'un hospital de soins ultraspécialisés de même que ses relations avec le système administratif. De manière plus spécifique, cette recherche met d'abord en évidence les interrelations et les divers mécanismes de coordination utilisés par les différents professionnels de la santé dans l'exécution de leurs tâches auprès des patients pour ensuite présenter le fonctionnement du système administratif de manière à identifier ses liens avec le centre opérationnel.
