Norrköpings kommun växer i dagsläget med 1500 personer om året. För att klara av det ökade bostadsbehovet har kommunen valt att bland annat lägga stor fokus på omvandla ett stort industriområde bara ett stenkast från staden Norrköpings stadskärna. Området som kallas för Industrilandskapet består till stor del av gamla industrilokaler som användes på 1900-talet. Området präglas även av oanvänd och dåligt utnyttjad mark.Idag byggs det flitigt i området och för att få in spännande och attraktiva byggnader i landskapet har Norrköpings kommun utlyst tre markanvisningstävlingar för flerbostadshus. Detta examensarbete syftar till att ta fram ett alternativt tävlingsförslag för den sista av dessa tre, kvarteret Garvaren.Tävlingen avser två huskroppar, ett större vinkelhus samt ett mindre lamellhus. Arbetet resulterade i ett färdigt tävlingsförslag, men i rapporten ligger fokusen främst på processen fram till den färdiga gestaltningen samt en mer ingående beskrivning av förslaget och dess delar. / The municipality of Norrköping currently grows by 1,500 people a year. In order to cope with the increased housing demand, the municipality has chosen to focus, among other things, on transforming a large industrial area just a stone's throw from the city center of Norrköping. The area called Industrilandskapet consists largely of old factories used in the 20th century. The area is also characterized by unused and poorly utilized land.Today, it is being built extensively in the area and in order to bring in exciting and attractive buildings into the landscape Norrköping municipality has announced three land allocation competitions for apartment buildings. This degree project is about the last of these three, the neighborhood Garvaren.The competition concerns two house bodies, a larger L-shaped house and a smaller, rectangular house. The work resulted in a complete competition proposal, but in the report the focus is mainly on the process up to the finished design as well as a more detailed description of the proposal and its parts.
