Utilizaremos o MÃtodo dos MÃnimos Quadrados em dois estÃgios (MQ2E) com um espaÃo amostral compreendido pelas cinco regiÃes brasileiras: Sudeste, Sul, Centro-Oeste, Nordeste e Norte, no perÃodo de 1984 a 2004. A variÃvel dependente serà o preÃo e as variÃveis independentes ou explanatÃrias, serÃo a quantidade e PIB do segmento alimentÃcio e quÃmico. Por fim, simularemos uma fusÃo das 3 maiores empresas da regiÃo Nordeste, utilizando o modelo de Cournot para calcularmos o novo preÃo e a nova quantidade de equilÃbrio pÃsfusÃo.
