Previous issue date: 2013-02-25 / CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The present study aimed to investigate the influence of socioeconomic conditions, diet and prenatal care on the nutritional status of pregnant women attending a public maternity hospital in Manaus / AM in 2011. The sample was representative (n = 384) and the information was obtained in two flows: Primary - by interviewing random, using standardized forms for group nutrition CSAS/INPA, were investigated the insertion model socioeconomic and dietary patterns of mothers – Secondary, from the card of the pre nant o an ere obtained data re ardin to prenatal n con ultation , beginning of prenatal examination and anemia. The nutritional status before pregnancy and gestational were classified according to the recommendations of the System Food and Nutrition Surveillance – SISVAN. The project was initiated after approval by the Ethics Committee of the National Institute of Amazonian Research, INPA. Was used for tabulation of results the software Epi-Info version 7 with a significance level of 5%. The results evidenced that during the pre-pregnancy 5.7% of pregnant women presented with low weight, 58.6% suitable weight , 24.0% overweight and 11.7% obese. In the last consultation was observed that the percentage of underweight pregnant women evolved to 17.7%, suitable weight decreased 39.1%, increasing cases of overweight and obesity to 24.5% and 18.8% respectively. The average pre-pregnancy weight was 59.3 kg, 70.9 kg evolving to the last consultation. Investigating the influence of dietary patterns in determining the nutritional status of pregnant women was perceives the daily intake from all dietary components: carbohydrates 95.6%, protein 86.4%, lipids 92.7%, vitamins and minerals 57.9% was significantly higher in the group of pregnant women with overweight / obesity (p> 0.05). / O presente estudo objetivou a investigação de influências das condições socioeconômicas, dietéticas e da assistência ao pré-natal sobre o estado nutricional de gestantes atendidas em uma maternidade pública de Manaus/AM em 2011. A amostra foi representativa (n= 384) e as informações foram obtidas em dois fluxos׃ Primário – por entrevista aleatória, utilizando-se formulários padronizados pelo grupo de nutrição da CSAS/INPA, foram investigados o modelo de inserção socioeconômico e padrão dietético das mães – Secundário, a partir do cartão da gestante obtiveram-se dados referentes ao pré-natal׃ n° de consultas, início do pré-natal e exame de anemia. O estado nutricional pré-gestacional e gestacional, foram classificados de acordo com as recomendações do Sistema de Vigilância Alimentar e Nutricionais – SISVAN. O projeto foi iniciado após sua aprovação pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa do Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia- INPA. Utilizou-se para tabulações dos resultados o software Epi-Info versão 7 com nível de significância de 5%. Os resultados evidenciaram que no período pré-gestacional 5,7% das gestantes apresentavam-se com baixo peso, 58,6% com peso adequado, 24,0% sobrepeso e 11,7% obesidade. Na última consulta verificou-se que o percentual de gestantes com baixo peso evoluiu para 17,7%, o peso adequado regrediu 39,1%, evoluindo os casos de sobrepeso e obesidade para 24,5% e 18,8% respectivamente. A média de peso pré-gestacional foi 59,3 kg, evoluindo para 70,9 kg na última consulta. Dentre as variáveis socioeconômicas investigadas apenas o trabalho materno durante a gestação apresentou relação estatisticamente significativa em relação ao estado nutricional das gestantes (p< 0,05). No que se refere ao modelo de assistência ao pré-natal constatou-se relação estatisticamente significativa para as variáveis: idade materna, n° de consultas realizadas no pré-natal, aborto e paridade (p< 0,05). Ao investigar a influência do padrão alimentar na determinação do estado nutricional das gestantes, percebe-se que o consumo diário de todos os componentes da dieta׃ carboidratos 95,6%, proteínas 86,4%, lipídeos 92,7%, vitaminas e minerais 57,9% foi expressivamente superior no grupo das gestantes com sobrepeso/ obesidade (p> 0,05).
