Esta investigação tem como tema central o fenómeno burnout em Polícias de Intervenção, estes profissionais fazem parte da Unidade Especial de Polícia (UEP) da Polícia de Segurança Pública (PSP) da cidade do Porto
Como objetivos gerais é fundamental compreender este fenómeno, mas também, de que forma o burnout afeta os agentes de autoridade e quais as suas consequências, tanto a nível laboral, psicológico e pessoal. Importa também perceber de que forma o work engagement e os work values podem prevenir o aparecimento desse síndrome.
O objetivo específico desta investigação baseia-se não só na medição dos níveis de burnout na população escolhida, mas também na medição dos índices de reatividade emocional e, também, do stress gerado pelo trabalho, e, comparar para avaliar se existe uma relação entre estes números. Por fim, o último objetivo é tentar desenvolver um modelo de prevenção do burnout.
Com a realização desta investigação é esperado encontrar, não só, altos níveis de burnout entre a população escolhida, mas também níveis elevados de stress. / This investigation has as it central theme the burnout phenomenon in Intervention Police Officers, these professionals are inserted in the Special Unity of Police from the Polícia de Segurança Pública (PSP) of the city of Porto.
As general objectives it is fundamental to understand this phenomenon, but also, how it affects these agents of authority and what are the consequences of that, at work level, psychological and personal level. It is also important to understand how work engagement and work values can prevent the appearing of that syndrome.
The specific objective it is, not only, to measure the levels of burnout among the chosen population, but also measure de levels of emotional reactivity and, the stress that is generated by work, and compare these numbers, to evaluate if there is a relation between them. At the end, the final objective is to try to develop a prevention model of burnout.
With this investigation it expected to find, not only, high levels of burnout among the chose population, but also, high levels of stress.
