Previous issue date: 2018-03-22 / O presente trabalho teve por objetivo estudar a modalidade Ensino a Distância no ensino superior brasileiro, compreendido dentro da reforma educacional promovida no Brasil, com foco nos governos FHC, Lula, Dilma e pós-impeachment, em respostas à crise estrutural do capital. Buscou também analisar o papel dos organismos internacionais – principalmente o Banco Mundial e a UNESCO – enquanto sujeitos políticos do capital - ao orientarem as reformas promovidas e incentivarem a metodologia de ensino a distância. O trabalho traz, ainda, a lógica da educação a distância condizente com as perspectivas e necessidades do mercado de trabalho. Analisa, então, as implicações da formação a distância para o Serviço Social mas não sem antes apresentar os elementos da cultura profissional do Serviço Social e seu projeto de formação profissional. A análise trabalha os dados da pesquisa de campo e documental realizadas com discentes, tutores presenciais e coordenadores de polo de ensino a distância com vistas a apontar a capacidade do ensino a distância de formar profissionais assistentes sociais de acordo com as diretrizes apontadas pelas entidades da categoria. / The present study had as an objective to comprehend Distance Learning modality in Brazilian higher education, understood within the educational reform promoted in Brazil, focusing on the FHC, Lula, Dilma and post-impeachment governments in response to the structural crisis of capital. It also sought to analyze the role of international organizations - notably the World Bank and UNESCO - as the political subjects of capital by orienting the reforms promoted and encouraging the methodology of distance learning. The work also brings the logic of distance education in line with the perspectives and needs of the labor market. It then analyzes the implications of distance training for Social Work, but not before presenting the elements of the professional culture of Social Work and its vocational training project. The analysis works the data of the field and documentary research carried out with students, face-to-face tutors and coordinators of distance teaching pole with a view to pointing the capacity of distance learning to form social workers according to the guidelines pointed out by the entities of the category.
