Modern organizations have complex business environments. Accounting has become an important instrument to measure, analyze, evaluate and take
appropriate decisions. This dissertation is a descriptive study that answers the question: Companies of different environments Business use Accounting as a instrument for business management? The overall objective was to identify the profile of the business environment in the perception of the owners, directors, managers,
employees and accounting. The specific objectives were (1) identify the companies per segments of economic activity, (2) identify respondents by level of performance,
(3) identify the type of accounting used in the company, and (4) identify the business environment in the perception of each respondent. The justification for this work is to identify the contribution that accounting provides for companies that use their instruments in financial management in different business environments. Data collection was done through a questionnaire applied in person at a sample of eightyfive respondents. The answers went through a process of tabulation and statistical treatment. The tables showed the organizational environment and the use of accounting. For analysis of the results were elaborate seven tables that make a relationship between the variables: branch of company, position / function of the respondent, accounting and organizational environment. The theoretical basis dealt
with financial accounting, tax and management and organizational behavior theme. The question of the problem has been answered and is shown in tables and graphs. The specific objectives have been achieved and demonstrated appear in tables and graphs. The overall goal was accomplished and appears grounded in tables and
graphs. Thus this study concludes that it accomplish all objectives. / Muitas empresas estão passando por mudanças em suas estruturas organizacionais, nas tecnologias de informação provocada por alterações nos ambientes competitivos que estão incluídos. As organizações modernas apresentam
ambientes empresariais complexos. A Contabilidade apresenta-se como importante instrumento para mensurar, analisar, avaliar e tomar as decisões adequadas. A
presente dissertação é uma pesquisa descritiva que responde o seguinte questionamento: As Empresas de diferentes Ambientes Empresariais utilizam a Contabilidade como instrumento de gestão empresarial? O objetivo geral foi identificar o perfil do ambiente empresarial sob a percepção dos proprietários,
diretores, gerentes, colaboradores e da contabilidade. Os objetivos específicos foram (1) identificar as empresas por segmentos da atividade econômica; (2) identificar os respondentes por nível de atuação; (3) identificar o tipo de
contabilidade utilizada na empresa; e (4) identificar o ambiente empresarial na percepção de cada respondente. A justificativa deste trabalho está em identificar a
contribuição que a Contabilidade fornece para as empresas que utiliza seus instrumentos na gestão financeira nos diferentes ambientes empresariais. A coleta
de dados se deu por meio de questionário aplicado pessoalmente em uma amostra de oitenta e cinco entrevistados. As respostas obtidas passaram por um processo de tabulação e tratamento estatísticos. As tabelas evidenciavam o ambiente organizacional e a utilização da contabilidade. Para análise dos resultados foram elaboradas sete tabelas que faziam relação entre as variáveis: ramo da empresa, cargo/função do respondente, contabilidade e ambiente organizacional. A fundamentação teórica tratou dos temas contabilidade financeira, fiscal e gerencial, bem como do tema comportamento organizacional. A questão do problema foi respondida e está evidenciada em tabelas e gráficos. O objetivo geral e os objetivos específicos foram cumpridos e aparecem demonstrados em tabelas e gráficos.
