Previous issue date: 2014 / Esta pesquisa investiga como acontece a narrativa no fluxo de informação durante o compartilhamento de conhecimento em micro e pequenas empresas, considerando-a como fonte sustentável para o desenvolvimento de melhores processos de serviço. São identificados os usos da narrativa no contexto informacional mediante pesquisa bibliográfica, que auxiliou na determinação dos construtos da pesquisa. Verificamos que a narrativa é uma prática de criação e disseminação de conhecimentos utilizada com frequência no ambiente organizacional em sua forma oral principalmente pelos gestores e, também, mensagem que pode ser analisada sob a perspectiva do fluxo de informações. Entretanto, a capacidade competitiva da organização fica limitada à aplicação de conhecimentos à sua rotina e aos processos que, por sua vez, são estimulados por meio da articulação de conhecimentos para construir narrativas que impactem na disseminação e utilização destes pela organização. Tal limitação é lacuna que a pesquisa procurou explorar mediante estudo qualitativo de múltiplos casos, no contexto das micro e pequenas empresas (MPEs) coligadas à Associação Comercial e Industrial de Florianópolis (ACIF). Com os resultados obtidos, consideramos que as narrativas sustentam o desenvolvimento de melhores práticas relacionadas à produção de serviço e tais práticas têm como canal o fluxo de informações do próprio processo; todavia, são dependentes dos conhecimentos dos gestores-proprietários e apresentam-se em nível individual. Esta pesquisa deixa como contribuições uma nova perspectiva no que se refere à análise do fluxo de informação com a inserção da narrativa e, ainda, o modelo teórico desenvolvido para sustentar seu foco de análise no ambiente das MPEs.<br> / Abstract: This research investigates how the narrative in information flow during the sharing of knowledge in micro and small enterprises happens, considering it as a sustainable source for improved service processes development. The uses of narrative in the informational context are identified through a bibliographic research, which also helped to determine the constructs of the research. It appears that the narrative is a practice of creation and dissemination of knowledge, often used within the organizational environment in its oral form, mainly by the managers, and also message that can be analyzed from the perspective of information flow. However, the competitiveness of the organization is limited to the application of knowledge to its routine and processes, which, in turn, are stimulated through the articulation of knowledge to construct narratives that impact in its dissemination and use by the organization. Such limitation is a gap that the research proposed to explore through qualitative multiple case study in the context of micro and small enterprises (MSEs) associated with Commercial and Industrial Association of Florianopolis (ACIF). With the obtained results, we consider that the narratives support the development of better practices related to service production and have the information flow of their own process as their channel; however, they are dependent on its managers and owners knowledge, being strongly present on individual levels. This research attempts to contribute as a new perspective to the information flow analysis with the insertion of the narrative and, also, the theoretical model developed to sustain its focus of analysis in the environment of SMEs.
