Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / The present research aims to understand what makes sense for the student of the 8th
year of elementary school to study about the human body. A theoretical and
methodological approach, based on Bernard Charlot's Relationship with Know, used to
carry out the research. By categorizing and analyzing the data obtained, we sought to
emphasize the meanings of studying the human body by eighth-grade students from two
public elementary school in the city of Cumbe / SE. With the central question "What is
the meaning of studying the human body in eighth grade science classes?” It seeks to
highlight the meaning for the student and what makes him or herself mobilize
intellectually to learn about the human body. It is a qualitative research of the
descriptive type, having as techniques of data collection the Balance of Adapted
Knowledge and Group Interviews with the Content Analysis of Bardin (2011). The
results obtained are discussed in a detailed way, based on a bibliographical review and
theoretical frameworks that help in the understanding of the students' senses about the
human body, present in the various answers raised in the interviews and balance sheets
throughout the data collection process. Students have the desire to learn subjects of the
human body that they can connect with their daily life, meaning for their daily life,
which they can put into practice and also share with their family and friends. These
subjects make sense to them, to the other and to the world, being representative of the
dimensions of identity, social and epistemic of the Relationship with Know
(CHARLOT, 2000, 2005, 2013). / A presente pesquisa teve o objetivo de entender o que faz sentido aos alunos do oitavo
ano do ensino fundamental estudar sobre o corpo humano. Uma abordagem teórica e
metodológica, pautada na Relação com o Saber de Bernard Charlot foi utilizada para a
realização da pesquisa. Buscou-se, com a categorização e análise dos dados obtidos,
enfatizar os sentidos de estudar o corpo humano dos alunos de classe popular do oitavo
ano do ensino fundamental de duas escolas públicas urbanas da cidade de Cumbe/SE.
Tendo como questão central “Qual o sentido de estudar o corpo humano nas aulas de
ciências do oitavo ano?”, procurou-se destacar o significado para o aluno e o que o faz
mobilizar-se intelectualmente para aprender sobre o corpo humano. Trata-se de uma
pesquisa de caráter qualitativa do tipo descritiva, tendo como técnicas de coleta de
dados o Balanço do Saber Adaptado e Entrevistas de Grupo, considerando a Análise de
Conteúdo de Bardin (2011). Os resultados obtidos são discutidos de forma abrangente, a
partir de uma revisão bibliográfica e de referenciais teóricos que auxiliam na
compreensão do que faz sentido aos alunos aprenderem acerca do corpo humano,
presentes nas respostas suscitadas nas entrevistas e balanços ao longo do processo de
coleta de dados. Os alunos participantes demonstraram o desejo de aprender assuntos do
corpo humano que conseguem relacionar aos seus cotidianos, com significado para seus
cotidianos, por considerarem que podem colocar em prática e também compartilhar com
seus familiares e amigos. Esses assuntos fazem sentido para eles, para o outro e para o
mundo, sendo representativos das dimensões de identidade, social e epistêmica da
Relação com o Saber (CHARLOT, 2000; 2005; 2013).
