Orientador: Ana Lúcia de Castro / Banca: Renata Medeiros Paoiello / Banca: Jorge Leite Jr. / Resumo: Esta pesquisa visa contribuir para a compreensão das representações sociais sobre violência sexual elaboradas pelos profissionais da saúde. Para tanto, buscou-se construir o perfil das vítimas e do agravo, a partir de dados fornecidos pela Secretaria de Segurança Pública de São Paulo, para confrontar estas informações com as representações encontradas e entender se estas podem influenciar na prática de atendimento ou na naturalização da violência. Além disso, foram realizadas entrevistas em profundidade, com roteiro semiestruturado, com os profissionais que fazem o atendimento às vítimas em dois locais de referência no município de São Carlos. Estas informações foram submetidas à análise utilizando-se do software Atlas.ti e da técnica de análise de conteúdo. Foi possível observar, a partir dos dados colhidos, que a violência sexual atinge majoritariamente pessoas do sexo feminino, menores de 14 anos, vitimadas em local doméstico por pessoas do seu convívio social. Esta também é a compreensão dos profissionais sobre o perfil mais afetado pela violência, divergindo apenas quanto a faixa etária mais atingida, caracterizando estes indivíduos como jovens. Os profissionais representam a violência sexual como qualquer ato de cunho sexual praticado contra a vontade da vítima, com diferentes compreensões sobre suas causas, ao tempo que reconhecem as consequências como "um grande trauma" para a vítima. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This research aims to contribute to the understanding of social representations on sexual violence elaborated by health professionals. Therefore, we sought to construct the profile of the victims and the offense, based on data provided by the Public Security Secretariat of São Paulo, to compare this information with the representations found and to understand whether these may influence the practice of care or naturalization of violence. Beyond that, interviews were conducted in depth, with a semi-structured script, with the professionals who perform care for the victims in two reference sites in the city of São Carlos. This information was submitted to the analysis using Atlas.ti software and the content analysis technique. From the data collected, it was possible to observe that sexual violence affects the majority of female victims, under 14 years of age, victims of domestic violence. This is also the professionals' understanding of the profile most affected by violence, differing only in the age group most affected, characterizing these individuals as young people. Professionals portray sexual violence as any sexual act practiced against the will of the victim, with different understandings of its causes, while recognizing the consequences as a "major trauma" for the victim.
