Previous issue date: 2017-09-04 / Cultivating a land has transformed man and practices of how he cultivates, appropriating nature, produced different spatial forms over time. The organization of production in the rural has been marked by a diversification that goes from specialization to the plurality of activities, production in large company to production on small farms. This diversity involving forms and the organization of production is analyzed by scholars from various angles. The interpretations vary according the theoretical, historical and spatial perspectives. But more than the interpretations, the reality is multiple and always requires updates that contribute to the understanding of reality. The research that is undertaken here does not pretend to argue with consolidated issues positions in theoretical nature, even assuming a position to build this analysis. At this point it is intended to reflect on the possibility of understanding the organization of production of family farming from the pluriactivity logic. Beforehand, it is recognized that there are other possibilities facing the theme competently. The theoretical and methodological approach is presented as a training tool that, once understood enables to think the real concrete. From this perspective, it is based on the understanding that, in general, in the current scenario of agriculture runs through a reorganization, in which agriculture business, especially based on monocultures who turn to the world market and the family farmer is responsible for supplying the domestic market. In the process of land concentration by the big farmer the family farmer has lost conditions to production and to continue the land search for ways to maintain it, and pluriative practices appear as possibilities. The main question of this research was: what extent the pluriactivity contributes to the permanence of the family farmer in the field? The overall goal was to understand the role of pluriactivity in family farming, as well as to characterize the pluriactivity activities in the surveyed site. Empirical research occurred in settlements Agrovila Rio Verdinho in the municipality of Rio Verde and Settlement Our Lady of Guadalupe municipality of Jataí-GO, both located in the Microregion Southwest Goiás. It is a qualitative research based on literature surveys, with national and international literature, conducting documentary research through agencies related to land issues and agriculture in Brazil. The empirical data was collected in three moments: first stage - pre-field - to perceive the reality of the producers studied; Second, interview to draw the profile of the settlers and which families would be considered as pluriatives; And finally, a new interview with families classified as pluriatives. The results presented show that agricultural, secondary agriculture and non-agricultural activities are carried out by several families. Thus, even if we identify that in the group of activities practiced by the producers of the settlements studied there is a greater complexity than can be perceived by pluriativity, however, these practices occur and contribute to the permanence of the family producers. / O cultivar a terra transformou o homem e as práticas de como este cultiva a terra; apropriando-se da natureza, produziu formas espaciais diferentes ao longo dos tempos. A organização da produção no rural tem sido marcada por uma diversificação que vai da especialização à pluralidade de atividades, da produção em grande empresa à produção em pequenas propriedades e posses. Essa diversidade envolvendo as formas e a organização da produção é analisada pelos estudiosos a partir de vários ângulos. As interpretações variam conforme as perspectivas teóricas, históricas e espaciais. Porém, mais do que as interpretações, a realidade é múltipla e requer sempre atualizações que contribuam para a compreensão da realidade. A pesquisa que se empreende aqui não tem a pretensão de polemizar com posições consolidadas sobre questões de natureza teórica, mesmo assumindo uma posição para a construção dessa análise. Nesse momento, pretende-se fazer uma reflexão sobre a possiblidade de compreender a organização da produção da agricultura familiar a partir da lógica da pluriatividade. De antemão, reconhece-se que existem outras possibilidades que enfrentam a temática de forma competente. O caminho teórico-metodológico apresenta-se como um instrumento de formação que, uma vez compreendido, possibilita pensar o real concreto. Nessa perspectiva, parte-se do entendimento que, de forma geral, no cenário atual a agricultura passa por uma reorganização, em que a agricultura empresarial, baseada especialmente em monoculturas que se voltam para o mercado mundial, e a produção familiar são responsáveis por abastecer o mercado interno. No processo de concentração fundiária o agricultor familiar tem perdido condições de produção e para continuar na terra busca algumas formas para sua manutenção, sendo que as práticas pluriativas aparecem como possibilidades. A questão norteadora dessa pesquisa foi: em que medida a pluriatividade contribui para a permanência do agricultor familiar no campo? O objetivo geral foi compreender qual o papel da pluriatividade na agricultura familiar, além de realizar a caracterização das atividades pluriativas no local pesquisado. A investigação empírica ocorreu nos Assentamentos Agrovila Rio Verdinho no município de Rio Verde-GO e Assentamento Nossa Senhora do Guadalupe no município de Jataí-GO, ambos localizados na Microrregião Sudoeste de Goiás. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa e exploratória, pautada em levantamentos bibliográficos em literaturas nacionais e internacionais e na realização de pesquisas documentais através de órgãos relacionados à questão agrária e agrícola no Brasil. O levantamento dos dados empíricos ocorreu em três momentos: primeiro momento - pré-campo - com o intuito de perceber a realidade dos produtores estudados; segundo momento entrevista para traçar o perfil dos assentados e quais famílias podiam ser consideradas pluriativas; e finalmente uma nova entrevista com as famílias classificadas como pluriativas. Os resultados apresentados mostram que as atividades agrícolas, para-agrícolas e não agrícolas são desenvolvidas por várias famílias. Assim, mesmo identificando que no conjunto de atividades praticadas pelos produtores dos assentamentos estudados há uma complexidade maior do que se pode apreender pela pluriatividade, entretanto, essas práticas ocorrem e contribuem para a permanência dos produtores familiares.
