Previous issue date: 2015 / A revista Placar, lançada em 1970, contribuiu com a história do futebol no Brasil. Em suas páginas, marcadas pelo período da ditadura-civil militar, desenvolveram-se análises sobre o Campeonato Brasileiro de Clubes, a Seleção Brasileira e o envolvimento do esporte com a política. Com o governo Geisel é anunciada, em 1974, a abertura política brasileira que decretou o fim lento e gradual do regime militar no país e, assim, observam-se processos de mudança no futebol brasileiro. A partir da segunda metade da década de 1970 nota-se que os editoriais, reportagens, charges e seções do impresso esportivo tornaram-se mais críticos em relação a presença militar no comando do futebol nacional. É possível observar um processo de abertura política do futebol brasileiro inserido no processo nacional anunciado por Geisel. A revista Placar realizou um papel fundamental como agente formador de opinião ao tecer críticas à gestão do Almirante Heleno Nunes como presidente da Confederação Brasileira de Desportos (CBD) e ao apoiar a criação da Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF). Já no governo Figueiredo, o último do regime civil-militar, houve um esforço pela desvinculação entre a política dos militares e o esporte com o anúncio de que a CBF assumiria a administração do futebol nacional.<br> / Abstract: Placar magazine, launched in 1970, contributed to the football's historyin Brazil. Its pages, marked by the military-civilian dictatorship period,have developed analyzes of the Brazilian Championship of Football Clubs, the Brazilian National Football Team and the involvement between sports and politics. During Geisel government, in 1974, is announced the Brazilian political opening that decreed the slow and gradual end of military regime in the country, and thus, it was possible to observe some changes in the Brazilian football. From the second half of the 1970s, editorials, reports, cartoons and sports sections became more critical about the military presence in the National Football command. It is worth mentioning a political opening of the Brazilian football inserted in the national process announced by Geisel. Placar magazine had a crucial role as an opinion-forming agent to criticize the management of Admiral Heleno Nunes as president of the Brazilian Sports Confederation (CBD) and supporting the creation of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). Therefore, during Figueiredo's government, the last military president of the civil-military regime, there was an effort to separate military policy from sports with the announcement that the CBF would assume the National Football's Administration.
