What is an Authorized Use? The Social Construction of Access and Use Rights Restrictions in Licensed Scholarly Digital Resources Protected by Technological Protection Measures

This is a submission to the "Interrogating the Social Realities of Information Systems" Preconference Symposium at ASIST 2006. This abstract describes an investigation of the changing access and use rights of licensed scholarly digital resources, particularly the rights associated with digital works protected by technological protection measures (TPM รข also known as digital rights management systems or DRM)
