Au sortir de la Révolution de 2011, la Libye a de nombreux défis à relever, notamment celui de son aménagement urbain, qui devra être appréhendé selon des projets cohérents. Cette étude s’attache au cas de la ville d’AL BAYDA, en Cyrénaïque. La première partie traite de l’évolution de la ville au fil des différents régimes politiques qu’a connus le pays au cours du XXe siècle: de la colonisation italienne, en passant par la monarchie senoussiste et le long régime kadhafien jusqu’à la Révolution de 2011 qui permet désormais tous les espoirs pour le développement à venir du pays. Cette analyse historique et urbanistique a permis de mettre en évidence les potentialités considérables d’AL BAYDA à tous les niveaux: un climat favorable, un patrimoine archéologique de grande valeur, un ancrage historique et symbolique fort, un dynamisme économique, etc. Dans le même temps, l’analyse révèle les manques criants de la ville, mais aussi de toute sa zone urbaine, en termes de services, d’infrastructures, d’espaces verts... / The end of the revolution of 2011, Libya has many challenges, Including that ofits urban development, Which should be understood as coherent projects.This study focuses on the case of the city of Al Bayda, Cyrenaica. The first partdeals with the evolution of the city over the different political regimesexperienced by the country during the twentieth century: from Italiancolonization, through the monarchy had senoussite along kadhafien regime untilthe Revolution 2011 that now allows ail hopes for the future development of thecountry. Urban and historical analysis has highlighted the considerable potentialof Al bayda at ah levels: climate, archaeological heritage of great value, ahistorical roots and strong symbolic, economic dynamism, etc.. At the same time,the analysis reveals glaring gapes ... it is more generally all the urban project fails.The evolution of the city has never been thought of comprehensive and coherentmanner, generating an urban aberration and lack of basic infrastructure.
