Design and Implementing Multipurpose Sensor Network for Smart City Monitoring

Weather and Air quality monitoring are very important aspects of smart city management. As population increase in the cities, the emission of pollutants includes Carbone Monoxide, Nitrogen Dioxide, Ozone and the Particulate matter will increase which will cause health and environmental issue. This paper is about developing a low-cost Urban sensors box based on Internet of Things. The Urban box is equipped with 4G/3G wireless communication which allows the wide range of mobility around the city. The Urban Sensor box is a collaborative work to monitor real-time data of the city’s environment, infrastructure, and activities.
