In the present investigation, 42 teeth were used (21 deciduos and 21 permanent ones), distributed in three groups of test and a control group. The 42 teeth were exhibited to a carbonated acid drink, to three different frequencies (1, 3 and 6 times per day), in order to determine if to greater frequency of exhibition to the drink, major is the loss of calcium in the dental enamel. In order to carry out the quantitative analysis of lost calcium by the enamel, tests of fotoespectrometry of atomic absorption of calcium were carried out, in the Unit of Services and Chemical analyses of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of the UNMSN.
