Defesa: Curitiba, 01/12/2017 / Inclui referências : f. 102-107 / Resumo: O presente estudo retratou a prática do esporte escolar de rendimento em escolas particulares de Curitiba-PR, entre os anos de 1980 e 1990. Para tanto foram entrevistados técnicos, atletas e gestores esportivos que vivenciaram o fenômeno no período. Para atingir o objetivo geral, foram elencados quatro objetivos específicos, os quais se tornaram capítulos da dissertação. São eles: "apresentando as vozes", capítulo que apresenta os colaboradores da pesquisa, por meio de sintéticas biografias, com intuito de enquadrá-los no processo de desenvolvimento esportivo escolar da cidade; "era competitivo, era muito competitivo", caracteriza o esporte escolar de rendimento da época; "o esporte escolar, perto daquela época, não tem comparação" pondera a respeito dos motivos da valorização do esporte na época, bem como aponta algumas hipóteses a respeito; "eu tenho saudades daquela época" valoriza as lembranças acerca do fenômeno, a Copa Itaú, os valores atribuídos ao esporte e alguns nomes de ícones esportivos que passaram pelas quadras curitibanas compõem este capítulo. A pesquisa é de caráter qualitativo e o método de investigação utilizado foi a História Oral temática pura. A partir das análises percebeu-se que o contexto do esporte escolar curitibano daquela época era uma espécie de metáfora do esporte profissional, haja vista que os colégios com maior poderio financeiro "contratavam" alunos/atletas para representar suas instituições. As equipes eram muito valorizadas dentro dos colégios e existiam, em alguns casos, profissionais contratados exclusivamente para o treinamento dos atletas. Havia um modelo de esporte escolar a ser seguido - o Colégio Positivo. O esporte de rendimento escolar parece ter realmente perdido sua importância e investimento após a transformação crítica ocorrida na Educação Física durante a década de 1990, entre outros fatores. A Copa Intercolegial Itaú marca a memória dos entrevistados como símbolo do esporte escolar curitibano do período, assim como o Ginásio do Tarumã como local de memória. Alguns protagonistas do campo esportivo atual tiveram seus primeiros contatos com o esporte ainda na escola. Evidenciou-se o tom nostálgico dos entrevistados ao rememorar o esporte escolar curitibano das décadas de 1980 e 1990. Palavras-chave: Esporte escolar. História Oral. Memória. Competição. / Abstract: The present study portrayed the practice of school-based sport in private schools in Curitiba-PR, between 1980 and 1990. To that end, technicians, athletes and sports managers who experienced the phenomenon during this period were interviewed. To achieve the general objective, four specific objectives were listed, which became chapters of the dissertation. They are: "presenting the voices", chapter that presents the research collaborators, through synthetic biographies, in order to fit them in the process of school-based sports development of the city; "it was competitive, it was very competitive" it characterizes the school-based sport efficiency of the time; "the school sport, compared to that time, has no comparison," ponders about the reasons for the valorization of the sport at that time, as well as pointing out some hypotheses about it, "I miss those times" values the memories about the phenomenon, the Itaú Cup, the values attributed to the sport and some names of sport icons that passed through the Curitiba sport courts compose this chapter. The research is qualitative in nature and the research method used was true Oral History. From the analysis, it was noticed that the context of the school-based sport of Curitiba was a kind of metaphor of professional sport, since the colleges with greater financial power "hired" students / athletes to represent their institutions. The teams were highly valued within the colleges and there were, in some cases, professionals hired exclusively for the training of athletes. There was a model of school sports to follow - the Positive College. The sport of the school performance seems to have really lost its importance and investment after the critical transformation that occurred in physical education during the 1990s, among other factors. The Itaú Intercollegiate Cup marks the memory of the interviewees as a symbol of the Curitiba school-based sport of the period, as well as the Tarumã Gymnasium with a place of memory. Some protagonists of the current sports field had their first contacts with the sport still in school. The nostalgic tone of the interviewees was evidenced when recalling the Curitiba school-based sport of the decades of 1980 and 1990. Keywords: School sport. Oral History. Memory. Competition.
