Vascular Changes and Direct Tissue Effects in Severe Cold Injury.

It has been most unfortunate that nearly all the research that has been done on cold injury has been under the driving urgency to find a method of treatment or prevention, and the fundamental work that might have contributed to our understanding of the nature of cold injury has been lacking because there was not time for it.
