Las investigaciones acerca del estrés académico llevadas a cabo en estudiantes
universitarios permiten conocer aquellas variables que facilitan su aparición. Así, el
presente estudio tuvo como objetivo principal determinar la relación existente entre el
estrés académico y la satisfacción familiar en un grupo de 114 estudiantes de una
universidad privada de Lima, cuyas edades oscilaron entre los 18 y 30 años. Para dicho
propósito se empleó el Inventario de Estrés Académico – SISCO y la Escala de Satisfacción
Familiar (FSS). Los resultados demuestran que existe una relación positiva, significativa y
pequeña entre la dimensión de Afrontamiento del Inventario de Estrés Académico y la
Escala de Satisfacción Familiar. Los resultados son analizados utilizando la teoría sobre
estrés académico y satisfacción familiar. / The investigations about academic stress carried out in university students allow us to know
those variables that facilitate its appearance. Thus, the main objective of this study was to
determine the relationship between academic stress and family satisfaction in a group of
114 students from a private university in Lima, whose ages ranged from 18 to 30 years. For
this purpose, the Academic Stress Inventory - SISCO and the Family Satisfaction Scale
(FSS) were used. The results show that there is a positive, significant and small relationship
between the Coping dimension of the Academic Stress Inventory and the Family
Satisfaction Scale. The results are analyzed using the theory on academic stress and family
satisfaction.
