This thesis is devided into four parts: rnodelling of the milling machine, continuous controller design, discrete controller aproximation and experimentaIs results. The software created to perf orm the discrete controller was developed in C language to a IBM-Pc microcomputer . The easy maintenance and the lower coast of hardware were the principaIs reason to lead us to the use the IBM-Pc microcomputer for this application / Mestrado / Mestre em Engenharia Elétrica
