The master's thesis is dedicated to improving the contract system of the Russian Federation. The explanatory note consists of an introduction, 3 chapters and a conclusion. The first chapter examines the theoretical issues of the functioning of the public procurement system in the Russian Federation, as well as examines the existing problems, examines the foreign experience of organizing the contract system. The second chapter analyzes the public procurement system in Russia, concludes that there are some problems, examines methods for assessing the effectiveness of public procurement, and evaluates the effectiveness of the system using the example of the Sverdlovsk region.
