Title: The Town Me, You, Them. The place where I live. Abstract: This thesis deals with the topic of the town from historical, philosophical, psychological and artistic points of view on a general level. A subjective approach to the topic is presented in the didactic part, focused on using a town in art education, and the artwork, dedicated to a personal experience in a particular town - Pacov. This thesis further explores the town as an art motive from its historical use up to the present, the town as a space for artistic expression and the notion of "genius loci."
