Paleotemperature studies on Ordovician rocks.

Geologists have drawn many conclusions from qualitative and quantitative geological studies in regard to past climatic conditions on the earth. Criteria formulated to determine ancient temperatures, or "paleotemperatures", can be divided into geological, mineralogical and ecological criteria.
