The geology of Duprat Township and some adjacent areas, nortwestern Quebec and structure of the Noranda district.

The area described in this thesis lies in the "Gold Belt" of north western Quebec, a district which, although named for the attractive gold deposits, has become an important producer of base metals, such as copper and zinc. The map-area and the surrounding region lie within the deeply eroded Precambrian Shield, which is made up chiefly of ancient Archaean volcanic rocks, and old crystalline intrusives. [...]
