Previous issue date: 2006 / Resumo: O objetivo deste trabalho é indicar as relações entre sociedade e natureza e como neste processo inevitável de produção da materialidade humana e da produção de um espaço antropogênico produzido pela humanidade para suprir suas necessidades instaurar-se uma totalidade de relações na sociedade, na natureza e na produção dos suprimentos de energia para manter as atividades sociais em qualquer estágio de desenvolvimento. Mais verdadeiro ainda quando se está na sociedade que mais consome as fontes de energia e de matérias-primas do planeta: o capitalismo tardio. A partir desta articulação inicial entre sociedade e natureza e o estabelecimento de relações que só podem ser entendidas como extremamente complexas que constituem uma totalidade determinada é que se põe a questão do papel deste entendimento para o planejador energético nos níveis geopolítico e ideológico. O entendimento dentro deste patamar mais afastado da técnica direta do planejamento e mais integrado na esfera social leva à compreensão do planejador dentro dos interesses subjacentes às políticas energéticas. Eleva-se a visão da técnica para a complexidade social e o jogo de interesses que se deve enfrentar no nas políticas energéticas e, para isso, torna-se necessário uma articulação teórica / Abstract: The main objective of this paper is to show the relations between society and nature. It is important to notice how the totality of relations is established in this inevitable production process of human materialism and in the production of an anthropological space ¿ a space produced by the human activity to supply its necessities. This paper draws attention to the relations inside the society itself, the relations between society and nature as well as the relations between nature and production of energy sources to keep the productive activities of any society in any development stage. This is certainly true concerned to this society that consumes the energy sources and the raw materials a lot in the planet: the late capitalism. After this initial discussion between society and nature and the establishment of relations that can only be understood as complex and that constitute a determined totality, there is the question of the role of this understanding for the energetic planner on the geopolitical and ideological levels. The understanding inside this further level of the planning¿s direct technique and more integrated in the social area leads to the comprehension of the planner inside this role and the implicit interests to the energetic policies / Doutorado / Planejamento de Sistemas Energeticos / Doutor em Engenharia Mecânica
