MARTA, A. Geopolitical Position of Caucasus. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University. Faculty of Regional Development and International Studies, 2015. Thesis Supervisor Mgr. Lukáš Nevěděl, Ph.D. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is especially concerned with introduction of political geography and geopolitics as independents sciences, with history of Caucasus, his physical-geographic character and conflicts in Caucasian unstable regions. This part is after all closed up by determination of Caucasian martial-protective, economical and energetic relationships with nearby states. Analogous to theoretical part, the practical part is also divided into two parts, quantitative and qualitative. Whilst quantitative part's focusing on region's geopolitical dispensation and religious or language diversity, that qualitative on the contrary point out the Caucasian social side and everyday life within it.
