Digitalt ledarskap inom HR : En studie hur digital transformering utmanat ledarskapet inom HR

As a result of the corona pandemic and the general development towards a more digital society, companies have been forced to adopt a digital approach in their workplace. Previous research indicates that the changeover in particular affects the individual directly and therefore a greater responsibility for HR. Therefore, the thesis has been limited to examining leadership in HR. Previous research also describes the progress of the digital transformation and the opportunities that the change has contributed with to leadership in HR. The authors have discovered a research gap around what concrete challenges the leaders in HR have faced and how leaders work with these challenges. The essay follows a quantitative method and an empirical analysis in the form of interviews with leaders within HR. The purpose of the thesis is also to investigate and understand how leaders work with the challenges that the digital transformation has contributed to. The results show that challenges around maintaining good cooperation, communication, motivation, and well-being of employees. Leaders work with these challenges by primarily structuring the working day and creating order, as well as substituting social interaction with informal meetings. The benefit of this study is aimed at contributing to further research on digital transformation in HR and can concretely be used for leaders in HR who adopt or will adopt a digital approach.
