Informační vzdělávání studentů kombinovaného studia na příkladu ČZU / Information education of students of combined forms of study at CULS

(in English): The aim of Master's thesis is an analysis of information education of students of combined study using example of Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. The first part of the thesis deals with terminology and definition of the term combined study. In the next part characteristics of students of combined study in comparison with students of regular education are described with emphasis on their age, motivation, educational needs and obstacles encountered while studying at distance. The text also briefly defines information literacy according to Association of College & Research Libraries standards and information education of students of combined study. The end of theoretical part follows practical experiences with courses for students of combined study at university libraries abroad. Practical part briefly outlines the situation of combined students at CULS Prague, numbers of these students at faculties and offered study programmes. The activities of Information Literacy and Education Department in the area of information education are described The next part describes methodology of thesis including interview and SWOT analysis.
