Introduction of problems: At present, nursing education is being given increasing attention. This is done by the management of the health service itself, by the teachers, by the nurses themselves, but also by the sick. There is still a burning shortage of nurses in all disciplines and hospitals. The current healthcare situation is slowly coping with changes in education, and only time will show whether changes have been set in the right direction and will help to infiltrate qualified staff into hospitals Goals: The main goal of my diploma thesis was to find out the motivation of nurses for specialization study in intensive care at work. The partial goal number one was to find out if nurses are educated in lifelong learning. Sub-goal number two was to map what nurses are currently the most burdened in their intensive care work. Methodology: A quantitative survey was carried out using custom-built questionnaires that were conducted in the intensive care nursing population Results: The results of the survey showed that the main reason nurses for intensive care intensive care were the fact that they needed money to study, wanted more time for their interests and paid leave before the exams.
