ABSTRACT: The diploma thesis entitled "The ecclesiastical education, with focus on the jesuit education, in comparison with present school reality in czech republic" presents briefly the the foundation of monasteries and monasterial schools in our territory. It introduces more in detail the Jesuit order and its apporach to education. The aim of the work is to provide a comparison between the education back then and nowadays, using a number of mutual points and the method of comparation.
