Previous issue date: 2017-05-26 / CAPES / O presente estudo foi desenvolvido no âmbito da história da educação com o propósito de analisar os dojôs (espaços específicos ao ensino do Judô) do Recife- PE, através de uma perspectiva sócio-histórica e educacional, situada no recorte temporal entre 1952 e 1972, por meio do olhar de alguns antigos senseis (professores de Judô), principais protagonistas da pesquisa. Trabalhamos com a hipótese de que estes dojôs possibilitaram educação de seus praticantes, em ambientes não formais de ensino, cumprindo importante função como ferramenta educativa. Quanto ao problema de pesquisa, intencionamos compreender como, a partir das experiências vividas por alguns de seus antigos senseis, uma teia de interdependência foi estabelecida e articulada nos mais diversos contextos (social, educacional, histórico e econômico), proporcionando uma configuração social específica (judoística) que culminou com o desenvolvimento do Judô na cidade. O objetivo foi investigar a história do Judô recifense, visando compreender as relações e reconstruções entre o ensino do Judô no ambiente do dojô e sua dimensão educacional. Os objetivos específicos foram: a) identificar a gênese do Judô em Recife no marco temporal entre os anos de 1952-1972; b) desvelar o processo educativo proporcionado pela prática do judô no dojô, como ambiente não formal de ensino; c) registrar as características específicas relacionadas à cultura judoística, facilitando a compreensão de pontos como a disciplina, a hierarquia, o tradicionalismo e o processo de esportivização do Judô; d) investigar a relação entre prática marcial (do Judô) e a violência, do ponto de vista do processo civilizatório; e) registrar o legado de alguns antigos senseis e pontuar as heranças significativas de suas memórias à comunidade judoística do Recife. Adotamos o viés metodológico da história oral associada à técnica de análise de conteúdo com suporte do software NVivo® (versão 11 Pro for Windows®). À guisa de conclusão, tem-se uma dissertação com relevância educacional, evidenciando que a história do Judô do Recife ocorreu de forma processual, à luz da teoria eliasiana do processo civilizatório, contudo, ressalta-se que existiram pontos positivos e negativos em seu percurso, pelo qual o Judô seguiu seu fluxo natural enquanto ferramenta educacional, reconhecendo-se, em seus espaços efetivos de ensino (dojôs), o seu caráter genuíno, do ponto de vista da sua legitimidade facilitadora da educação não formal. / The present study was developed within the history of education with the purpose of analyzing the dojôs (spaces specific to the teaching of Judo) of Recife- PE, through a socio-historical and educational perspective, situated in the temporal cut between 1952 and 1972, through the eyes of some old senseis (teachers of Judo), main protagonists of the research. We work with the hypothesis that these dojôs enabled the education of their practitioners in non-formal teaching environments, fulfilling an important function as an educational tool. As for the research problem, we intend to understand how, from the experiences lived by some of its old senseis, a web of interdependence was established and articulated in the most diverse contexts (social, educational, historical and economic), providing a specific social configuration (about Judo) that culminated in the development of Judo in the city. The objective was to investigate the history of Judo in Recife, aiming to understand the relationships and reconstructions between the teaching of Judo in the environment of the dojô and its educational dimension. The specific objectives were: a) to identify the genesis of Judo in Recife in the time frame between the years 1952- 1972; b) to unveil the educational process provided by judo practice in dojo, as a non-formal teaching environment; c) to register the specific characteristics related to the judo culture, facilitating the understanding of points such as discipline, hierarchy, traditionalism and the process of sportifying Judo; d) investigate the relationship between martial practice (Judo) and violence, from the point of view of the civilizing process; e) to register the legacy of some old senseis and to punctuate the significant legacies of their memories to the Judo community of Recife. We adopted the methodological bias of oral history associated with the content analysis technique supported by NVivo® software (version 11 Pro for Windows®). As a conclusion, there is a dissertation with educational relevance, evidencing that the history of Judo Recife had occurred in a procedural way, in the light of the Eliasian theory of the civilizing process, however, it is emphasized that there were positive and negative points in its course, whereby Judo followed its natural flow as an educational tool, recognizing, in its effective teaching spaces (dojôs), its genuine character, from the point of view of its legitimacy as facilitator of non-formal education.
