Desde os primórdios da filosofia, os gregos buscaram entender o significado da felicidade. De um modo geral, partiram da constatação de que todos os homens almejam a felicidade e conduzem suas vidas em função dessa noção. Mas isso, não significa que todos entenderam a felicidade da mesma maneira. Ao longo da história da filosofia surgiram várias concepções de felicidade que tentaram dar conta da complexidade dessa noção. E entre essas concepções, a engendrada pelo capitalismo parece direcionar de forma dominante a vida do homem contemporâneo. Desenvolvendo-se a partir da crítica à sociedade capitalista, a obra de Karl Marx acaba representando também, uma oposição à noção de felicidade desenvolvida nesse cenário. Assim, o objetivo inicial deste trabalho foi discutir o conceito de felicidade dominante na sociedade capitalista, à luz da obra de Marx. Tomando por base o pensamento desse autor, constituímos uma noção de felicidade a partir de sua perspectiva. Com os resultados desta pesquisa, acreditamos trazer contribuições que levem o homem a superar esse modo de produção depredatório, representado pelo capitalismo. A filosofia de Marx pode ajudar o ser humano a libertar-se de saberes preconcebidos que o impossibilitam de se relacionar de uma forma diferente com o mundo levando-o à constituição de uma vida feliz totalmente diferente da que lhe é permitida pelos limites de uma sociedade dividida em classes. / From the origins of the philosophy, the Greeks looked for to understand the meaning of the happiness. In general, they broke of the verification that all of the men long for the happiness and they drive their lives in function of that notion. But that doesn't mean that all understood the happiness in the same way. Along the history of the philosophy several conceptions of happiness that tried to give bill of the complexity of that notion appeared. And among those conceptions, engendered it by the capitalism seems to address in a dominant way the contemporary man's life. Growing starting from the critic to the capitalist society, Karl Marx's work ends up also acting, an opposition to the notion of happiness developed in that scenery. Like that, the initial objective of this work was to discuss the concept of dominant happiness in the capitalist society, to the light of Marx's work. Taking for base that author's thought, we constituted a notion of happiness starting from his perspective. With the results of this research, we believed to bring contributions that light the man to overcome that way of production depredatory, acted by the capitalism. Marx's philosophy can help the human being to free of you know preconceived that disable him of relating in a way different with the world totally taking him to the constitution of a happy life different from the one that is allowed him by the limits of a society divided in classes.
