Previous issue date: 2013-09-27 / This work focuses on The Aesthetics of the Cold, created by the composer,
singer and writer Vitor Ramil, having the reading of his book Satolep as a
starting point, although not the only one. This research emphasizes recurrent
aspects addressed by the author throughout his work, especially regarding his
hometown, subjectivity and discourse. The investigation identifies and intends
to deepen three questions. The first refers to placement, since it investigates
the relationship between the city and discourse. The second question is
When we knock on a door in Satolep, who answers it? This is the question
which recommends the investigation on subjectivity. The third question refers
to the discourse being used, and aims at guiding the investigation about a
peculiar enunciative mode found in Ramil s work and which will be called, in
this work, escaiola-discourse . All these questions are traversed by concepts
from different areas of knowledge as well as based on principles from
Pêcheux s Discourse Analysis theory. Through this work, we expect to bring
this singular and enthralling path of contemporary Brazilian literary creation,

studies / O presente trabalho aborda a Estética do Frio, criação do compositor, cantor
e escritor Vitor Ramil, a partir da leitura do romance satolep, mas não
exclusivamente. A pesquisa enfatiza aspectos recorrentes abordados pelo
autor, ao longo de sua obra, particularmente no que se refere à cidade, ao
sujeito e ao discurso. A investigação identifica e pretende aprofundar três
questionamentos. O primeiro é referente ao lugar, pois investiga a relação
cidade/discurso. A segunda pergunta é a seguinte: Quando se bate na porta
de uma casa em Satolep, quem nos atende? Esse questionamento
recomenda a investigação sobre a subjetividade. A terceira pergunta se
refere ao discurso utilizado. Esta pergunta objetiva nortear a investigação
sobre uma identificada modalidade enunciativa peculiar encontrada na obra
ramiliana, a qual assumirá, no desenvolvimento da pesquisa, a forma de
designada discurso-escaiola . Todos os questionamentos são atravessados
por conceitos de diferentes áreas do conhecimento e sustentados em
premissas da Análise de Discurso, de linha pêcheuxtiana. Por meio dessa
pesquisa, espera-se trazer para dentro do âmbito dos estudos acadêmicos de
discurso essa singular e instigante vereda da criação literária contemporânea
brasileira, a Estética do Frio, de Vitor Ramil
