This dissertation seeks to evaluate and legitimize the idea of happiness in the Spanish Mystic literature of the sixteenth century through the writings of both the pioneers of recogimiento Francisco de Osuna and Bernardino de Laredo, and the Carmelites Saint Theresa of Avila and Saint John of the Cross. In order to accomplish this objective an epistemology of happiness has been constructed from the metaphorical and symbolical language of their narrative and poetical works. Particular emphasis is paid to the repercussions such an epistemology might have for the anthropological perspective of the Renaissance that seeks to reconcile the two spheres of the human and the divine. The analysis here has been divided between three chapters which explain the meaning of happiness through the ideas of peace, wisdom, and love. Each of these has in turn been the subject of a literary, philosophical, and theological analysis in an interdisciplinary approach to the epistemology of happiness that thus serves as the theoretical basis for the new spiritual cartography proposed here. / La présente thèse vise à légitimer l'idée du bonheur dans la littérature mystique espagnole du seizième siècle à partir de l'oeuvre des pionniers du recogimiento Francisco de Osuna et Bernardino de Laredo ainsi que des carmélites Sainte Thérèse d'Avila et Saint Jean de la Croix. Pour atteindre cet objectif nous avons établie une épistémologie du bonheur en prenant comme fondement théorique le langage métaphorique et symbolique de leur récit et oeuvres poétiques. En même temps nous avons souligné les répercussions qu'une telle épistémologie a eu sur la perspective anthropologique de la Renaissance sans oublier que celle-ci cherche à concilier les sphères humaine et divine. L'analyse a été divisée en trois chapitres qui expliquent le sens du bonheur à travers les notions de paix, de sagesse et d'amour. Chacune de celles-ci a fait l'objet d'une analyse littéraire, philosophique et théologique à partir desquelles nous avons élaboré une approche interdisciplinaire sur l'épistémologie du bonheur qui a servi au fondement théorique afin d'établir la nouvelle cartographie spirituelle proposée ici.
