of protection to the child at risk personal or social, such as advocated by the Estatuto da
Criança e do Adolescente (Art 101 parágrafo único). These services are used to provide a
healthy environment and quality for the development of the child and to guarantee their rights.
It is in this environment that many children and adolescents live part of their history and build
new ties, in relations with adults and children of the institution. In the daily life of the child
and adolescent in the host institution the figure of social educator has fundamental
importance. In the context of concrete relations observed in a host service the Curitiba
metropolitan region we sought to identify and analyze the meanings of affective attachment
for the social educators. We think the bond from an institutional perspective, using as a
reference to the research of Marlene Guirado. Through the observation of the everyday life of
the institution and the discourse of educators in the interviews, we seek to give visibility to
the senses (the abandonment, aggression, indifference and the positive affects as the affection
and care) produced by the educators for the bond. We realized that the family institution still
prevails in this kind of care and that educators face great difficulty in taking the limits in the
relationship with the children. The important investment that should happen in the processes
of selection and training of social educator is not happening / O afastamento familiar deveria ser uma medida excepcional e provisória aplicada como
medida de proteção à criança em risco pessoal ou social, como preconiza o Estatuto da
Criança e do adolescente (Art. 101 parágrafo único). Esses serviços têm como função oferecer
um ambiente saudável e de qualidade para o desenvolvimento da criança e a garantia dos seus
direitos. É nesse ambiente que muitas crianças e adolescentes vivem parte de sua história e
constroem novos vínculos, nas relações com adultos e crianças da instituição. No cotidiano da
criança e do adolescente na instituição de acolhimento a figura do educador social tem
importância fundamental. No contexto das relações concretas observadas em um serviço de
acolhimento da região metropolitana de Curitiba buscamos identificar e analisar os sentidos
do vínculo afetivo para os educadores sociais. Propusemos pensar o vínculo a partir de uma
perspectiva institucional, utilizando como referencial as pesquisas de Marlene Guirado.
Através da observação do cotidiano da instituição e do discurso dos educadores nas
entrevistas, procuramos dar visibilidade aos sentidos (o abandono, a agressão, a indiferença e
os afetos positivos como o carinho e o cuidado) produzidos pelos educadores para o vínculo.
Percebemos que a instituição família ainda prevalece nesse tipo de atendimento e que os
educadores enfrentam grande dificuldade em assumir os limites na relação com as crianças. O
importante investimento que deveria acontecer nos processos de seleção e formação do
educador social não acontece
