Previous issue date: 2015 / O presente trabalho compreende o maracatu-nação pernambucano como uma configuração cultural, que só pode ser analisada se voltarmos nosso olhar para os sentidos que os maracatuzeiros atribuem à sua prática cultural. Tais conhecimentos são transmitidos, através de processos miméticos, criando várias formas de associativismos dentro das nações e entre as nações de maracatu. Esses sentidos também incidem e são influenciados pelas relações que essas nações têm com o mercado de bens simbólicos, com a indústria cultural e com as instituições do estado-nação brasileiro. Como exemplo dessas relações, analisamos o processo de registro patrimonial dos maracatus nação pernambucanos, que foi iniciado no âmbito do IPHAN em 2007, procurando ressaltar as perspectivas e tensões em jogo, como também a luta por visibilidade e reconhecimento por parte dos maracatuzeiros. Nesse sentido pretendo fomentar a discussão sobre formas de associativismos, lutas por reconhecimento oficial, bem como os processos criativos que influenciam as formas de pensar e agir desses maracatuzeiros, baseados principalmente numa dimensão religiosa, vinculada às religiões de matrizes africanas. Assim tais conhecimentos liminares desses maracatuzeiros têm fornecido outros lugares de enunciação, que fornecem uma reflexão crítica sobre a produção do conhecimento.<br> / Abstract : The present study addresses the "maracatu-nação" from Pernambuco as a cultural configuration which can only be analyzed if we look at the meanings that "maracatuzeiros" (i.e., all of those involved with "maracatu", including musicians, dancers, costume makers, and son on) attribute to their cultural pratice. Such knowledge is transmitted through mimetic processes, whereby many forms of associations within and across the maracatus-nação are created. These meanings also affected by, the relationships that the "maracatu-nação" have with the market of symbolic goods, the cultural industry, and institutions from the Brazilian nation-state. As an example of such relations, I analyzed the process of heritage registry of the "maracatu-nação" from Pernambuco, which was initiated by IPHAN in 2007, with the aim of highlighting the different perspectives and tensions at play, as well as the struggle for visibility and recognition that maracatuzeiros have gone through. In this sense, I wish to raise the discussions over forms of association, struggles for official recognition, and the creative processes that influence the ways of thinking and acting of "maracatuzeiros", based mainly on a religious dimension, linked to African-based religions. Therefore, the knowledge of the "maracatuzeiros" has provided other places of enunciation, which in their turn allow for a critical reflection upon the production of knowledge itself.
