[pt] O presente trabalho analisa a historiografia produzida sobre o estado do Rio
de Janeiro entre as décadas de 1930 e 1950. Esse período é marcado pela
instituição de um grupo político, o amaralismo, que defendia um projeto de
soerguimento do estado no cenário nacional baseado na revitalização das suas
atividades econômicas tradicionais. Associada às práticas políticas e econômicas,
construiu-se um discurso de defesa das tradições culturais locais que impulsionou
a produção do conhecimento histórico sobre o estado. Procurou-se, neste trabalho,
analisar a relação entre os projetos políticos e os usos do passado no período.
Objetivou-se, também, definir as características dessa produção historiográfica: o
estabelecimento de periodizações; a eleição de certas temáticas; as fontes
documentais reconhecidas; a relação entre o saber histórico e outras disciplinas
etc. Essas obras construíam uma identidade para os fluminenses, temática aqui
abordada. A discussão da historiografia fluminense do período amaralista levou
em consideração o lugar da história regional no processo de construção do
conhecimento histórico enquanto disciplina acadêmica. / [en] This study examines the historiography produced on the state of Rio de
Janeiro between the 1930s and 1950. This period is marked by the establishment
of a political group, the amaralimo, who defended a draft soerguimento the state
based on the national scene in the revitalization of their traditional economic
activities. Associated with political and economic practices, built up a speech in
defense of local cultural traditions that promoted the production of historical
knowledge on the state. It was in this work, examining the relationship between
political projects and practices in the past period. The aim is also to define the
characteristics of this historiographical production: the establishment of

They built an identity works for Rio de Janeiro, themes addressed here. The
discussion of the historiography of the period fluminense amaralista took into
consideration the place of regional history in the construction of historical
knowledge as academic discipline.
