Previous issue date: 2017-04-18 / O presente trabalho compreende os estudos de campo (mapeamento geológico), análises petrográficas e geoquímicas para as rochas da porção sul do Maciço Castelo (ES). O pluton Castelo é uma intrusão ígnea representante do magmatismo pós-colisional do Orógeno Araçuaí que aflora na região sul do Estado do Espírito Santo. O trabalho propõe o mapa geológico na escala de 1:50.000 para a porção sul do maciço e os resultados das análises petrográficas e geoquímicas, indicaram fontes diferentes para as rochas monzograníticas e monzodioríticas desta área. De acordo estas análises, os biotita monzogranitos são de origem crustal e os biotita- quartzo monzodioritos de origem mantélica. Os dados levantados no trabalho também demonstram evidências de mistura magmática entre as diferentes unidades mapeadas. / The present work includes the field studies (geological mapping), petrographic and geochemical analyzes for the rocks of the southern portion of the Castelo Maciço (ES). The Castelo pluton is an igneous intrusion representative of the post-collisional magmatism of the Araçuaí Orogen that emerges in the southern region of the State of Espírito Santo. The work proposes the geological map in the scale of 1: 50,000 for the southern portion of the pluton and the results of the petrographic and geochemical analysis indicated different sources for the monzogranitic and monzodioritic rocks of this area. According to these analyzes, the biotite monzogranites are of crustal origin and the biotite quartz monzodiorites of mantle origin. The data collected in the work also demonstrate evidence of magmatic mixing between the different mapped units.
