Metodologías que se usan en la enseñanza del español en distintas escuelas suecas : Su concordancia con el Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las lenguas

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to investigate the methodologies being used in teaching Spanish as a foreign language in schools in Nybro and Kalmar. Furthermore, this research aims to prove whether these methodologies conform to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Another objective is to find out whether the variation in the use of these methodologies in Spanish language teaching affects student’s learning. This research uses two types of questionnaires, one for students, where 148 participated, and the other for teachers, which had 10 participants.               The results show that use of course books, exercise books and grammar are the methods commonly used while pedagogical games, themes and singing are seldom or minimally used. The results also show that the methodologies used in Spanish language teaching concur with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. It focuses on teaching language through speaking, reading texts listening to material from different media and having practical speaking exercises. As for the variation of Spanish language teaching, the results show that the skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening are related or dependent on the methodologies that are used in language teaching.   Key words: methodologies, foreign languages, grammar, motivation, communication, skills, participation, learning, teaching, strategies, perceptions, attitudes.
