Varje dag interagerar samhället med nya produkter och system som måste vara användbara och därför är användbarhet är ett viktigt begrepp i detta sammanhang. För att enklare integrera användbarhet i utvecklingsprocesserna för dessa produkter och system, används ISO-standarden för användarcentrerad design. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka huruvida Monitor ERP System AB bedrev användarcentrerad design i utvecklingsprocessen av deras mobila applikation - Monitor Mobile. Som hjälp i denna utredning används ISO-standarden för användbarhet och användarcentrerad design. För att besvara problemformuleringen, har jag genomfört en retrospektiv studie och intervjuer med beställare och utvecklare. För att sluta samman utredningen har jag också skickat ut en enkät till användarna. Resultatet visar att Monitor är villig att arbeta nära användarna, men de introducerar dem inte i processen. De använder rätt metod då de utvecklar prototyper, genomför utvärderingar och reflektioner med beställare av applikationen. Slutsatsen som dras i denna uppsats är att Monitor använder endast ett fåtal kriterier av ISO-standarden för att uppfylla användarcentrerad design. Den huvudsakliga motiveringen till detta är att de inte involverat sina användare i utvecklingsprocessen. / Every day, we all get in contact with computers and systems that have to be easy to use and easy to remember. The usability concept is important in this context. To integrate usability in the development process of this products and systems, we use the ISOstandard about user-centred design. The aim of the study is to analyse and investigate how Monitor ERP System AB manages user-centred design in the development process of the Mobile Application – Monitor Mobile. To answer the question, a retrospective study has been done of the process consisting of interviews with costumers and developers. To complement the research, I have done a survey with users. The result shows that Monitor is aware to working close to their users, but they didn’t introduce them in the process. They use correct methods with prototypes, evaluations and reflections with costumers, but the conclusion shows that Monitor use only few parts of the ISO-standard to meet the user-centred design. The main motivation is that they did not involve the users.
