Previous issue date: 2016-12-07 / Secretaria de Educação do Paraná / This work deals with the teaching of Local History - in the city of Cascavel in and its relation to the memory. Above all, we investigate the processes by which public memories of this region and education are interrelated, since the school environment becomes a space for the dissemination of knowledge about the past. Parallel to this, we point out the existence of a set of knowledge about the local past that gained centrality and that are instituted as hegemonic in terms of Local History. This version of the past set in a power discourse, which ultimately aims at the establishment of a local identity, it is a historical plot backed by a homogeneous representation of the past, mythical and harmonious city. In this sense, we aim to understand the impact of such speeches in history teaching, questioning its use and its redefinition of teachers. This research was grounded in the methodology of oral history, and a group of teachers of Years Start and End of elementary school, respondents. On the other hand, we can not fail to mention that other sources also composed the documentary body of work. Due to the need for analysis of the works and fonts used as research material for teachers, the memoirs literature, the press and the very city of memory locations were also selected to the reflections developed during the research. / Este trabalho trata do ensino de História Local - na cidade de Cascavel - e sua relação com a memória. Sobretudo, investigamos os processos pelos quais as memórias públicas dessa cidade e o ensino se interrelacionam, já que o ambiente escolar se constitui como um dos espaços para a divulgação de conhecimentos sobre o passado. Paralelamente a isto, apontamos a existência de um conjunto de saberes sobre o passado local que adquiriram certa centralidade e que se instituem como hegemônicos em termos de História Local. Tal versão do passado configura-se em um discurso de poder, que em última instância, visa à instituição de uma identidade local unívoca, trata-se de um enredo histórico respaldado por uma representação de passado homogêneo, mítico e harmônico da cidade. Nessa perspectiva, objetivamos compreender a repercussão de tais discursos no ensino de história, problematizando a sua utilização e sua ressignificação por parte dos professores. A metodologia da História Oral foi utilizada em uma das etapas da pesquisa, sendo um grupo de professores dos Anos Iniciais do Ensino Fundamental, os entrevistados. Por outro lado, não podemos deixar de mencionar que outras fontes também compuseram o corpo documental desse trabalho. Devido à necessidade de análise das obras e fontes utilizadas como material de pesquisa para os docentes, a literatura memorialística, a imprensa e os próprios lugares de memória da cidade foram igualmente selecionados para as reflexões desenvolvidas durante a pesquisa.
