especificamente o ensino de funções. Propõe a reflexão sobre o desconhecimento do
conceito de funções por parte da maioria dos alunos egressos do ensino médio e sobre
a possibilidade de amenizar essa situação com a ajuda de um software de geometria
dinâmica, o Geogebra. É feita uma breve explanação histórica sobre o desenvolvimento
da Matemática com ênfase no século XVII com a descoberta do Cálculo Diferencial
e Integral e sua evolução até o conceito atual de funções, habitualmente usado nas
instituições de ensino. Em seguida são apresentados o conceito de função e algumas
características, alguns tópicos de cálculo diferencial e integral. Finalmente é proposta
uma sequência de atividades a serem desenvolvidas com a utilização do Geogebra cuja
finalidade é complementar o trabalho da sala de aula, auxiliando tanto professor quanto
aluno no processo ensino/aprendizagem. / This work seeks to contribute to the teaching of mathematics in basic education,
specifically the teaching of functions. It proposes a reflection of the concept of functions
as a lack of knowledge on a reasonable number of students graduating from high school
and the possibility of soften the effect of this situation with the assistance of a dynamic
geometry software, Geogebra. A brief historical explanation of the development of mathematics with emphasis in the seventeenth century with the discovery of the Differential
and Integral Calculus and its evolution to the current concept of functions, commonly
used in educational institutions it is also presented. Then, the concept of function and
some of its characteristics and some of differential and integral calculus topics are shown
as well. Finally, a sequence of activities to be developed with the use of Geogebra, which
purpose is to supplement the work of the classroom, assisting both teacher and student
in the teaching / learning process, is proposed.
