Solving the antenna placement problem in UMTS networks using genetic algorithms.

Electrical Engineering. / Discusses how to find the best set of base station locations in 3G networks that cover a given number of mobile users with a good quality signal at optimal cost, using Genetic algorithms. The selected approach must alleviate the inefficiencies introduced traditional planning approaches.
