This diploma thesis deals with preventive maintenance problem.
The first part outlines the distinction among the different types of maintenance, basic concepts are explained and a method for reliability centered Maintenance (RCM) is described in detail.
In the next section an analysis of data obtained from actual operations is performed, and furthermore a model of preventive maintenance optimization using RCM is developed on that basis.
In the conclusion, a solution to optimize preventive maintenance is drafted allowing to prove that properly performed preventive maintenance increases emergency equipment, and it leads to higher operational efficiency.
